Position Description
Summary
This position is a staff position for Logistics Services Americas within the Finished Vehicle Outbound Operations organization. The principle duties are to support operations in the planning and monitoring of the delivery of complete vehicles from DPS (Distribution Process Start) to DPE (Distribution Process End) for the assigned customer.
Reports to: Manager of Finished Vehicle Outbound

Responsibilities:
Continuously strive towards efficient and effective operations in day-to-day distribution planning, administrative handling of distribution, re-planning and re-booking from customer requests utilising operational tools
Short and long term monitoring of key performance indicators for assigned customers/providers
Root cause analysis and initiate corrective actions, if necessary
Develop solutions for operational problems for assigned customers
Compose and execute the launch and wholesale planning for the assigned customers
By being pro-active verify forecast versus real release for transport and communicate to concerned parties
Service minded approach towards customers and providers
Responsible to act as the helpdesk for dealers, if appropriate
Participate in carrier meetings as required
Participate in or provide information for operational customer meetings that are organized by Operational Excellence & Business Support
Participate in or provide information for projects related to the core business of the DPC function
Inform and advise system support in case of problems or ideas for improvement
Prepare invoice back-up for financial settlement of transportation costs (customer & service provider)
Maintain contacts with related internal departments with the objective to facilitate the distribution
Various tasks assigned by the line manager
Minimum Education and Experience
BS degree in Logistics or Business preferred or equivalent experience

years working experience within a transportation/logistics environment preferred
Skills & Knowledge
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Self motivated, take initiative to change process and procedures
Ability to multi-task
High skills in building strong customer service relationships and working well with other departments
Demonstrate ability to work independently without direct supervision
Solid analytical and problem solving skills
PC skills using Microsoft office programs (Excel, Power Point, Word, Access)
