Efficient turnover of overnight facilities before check-in time and ability to work with little to no direct supervision.
Will be responsible for inventorying linens and cabin supplies to ensure they are available for the next guest.
Performs the light maintenance and cleaning tasks necessary to operate state park facilities.
May be required to perform other park related duties during emergencies or on a non-recurrent basis.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Must be 17 years or older, have a valid Virginia driver's license and reliable transportation.
Must provide excellent customer service skills and be willing to work in a team environment.
Successful candidate will have a willingness to learn the job and general knowledge of the use of various cleaning supplies/equipment.
Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a housekeeping or janitorial setting is preferred.
Special Requirements:
Must be willing to work weekends and evenings.
There are no health benefits or paid vacation leave associated with the job.
Employees are limited to working no more than 1500 hours in 12 months from May 1 to April 30.
Position does not include benefits.
Employment in all positions within the Virginia State Parks is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check.
