Summary:
The maintenance supervisor plans, organizes and provides supervision and oversight for daily maintenance operations and activities.
Job
Responsibilities:
Supervises maintenance staff by determining workloads and schedules; develops, interprets and implements policies and procedures; ensures that staff is trained in complex maintenance activities and are following standard operating procedures.
Develop and maintain a maintenance policy with an emphasis on predictive and preventative maintenance rather than corrective or reactive measures.
Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues.
Requiring specialized knowledge of electricity, electronics, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, welding, HVAC, boiler operation, and wastewater processing.
Monitors and participates in operations within assigned areas of the plant including inspecting projects, developing and implementing modifications and improvements, recommending specifications and scheduling of contractors, negotiating prices and inspecting contractor's work to ensure that safe work practices and standard operating procedures are followed.
Complies with all safety and environmental regulations, and works to create and promote a safe working environment.
Job Qualifications (Required) At least 18 years of age (required at all locations) High School diploma or GED (required at all locations) 5 years Maintenance experience (specialized knowledge of electricity, electronics, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, HVAC, boiler operation, and wastewater processing) Job Qualifications (Preferred):
Previous manufacturing experience preferred (all locations) 2 years Supervisor experience Associate's Degree Physical Requirements of the Job:
Frequent walking, standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting and lifting for 8-12 hours per day Able to frequently walk, stand, kneel, squat, bend, stoop, push, pull, twist and lift for 8-12 hours per day Able to work in non-climate-controlled and noisy environment Frequent overhead reaching and reaching with both hands Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting or maneuvering loads up to 50 lbs Able to wear and tolerate Personal Protective Equipment (apparel and devices) Vision acuity, corrected or uncorrected, capable of reading documents, blueprints, gauges, equipment settings, calibration instruments, parts labels and written materials Reliable to come to work every day and be on-time Flexible work availability, including Overtime during the week and weekends Job Type:
