Long Term Contract Assignment in Dublin
Conducts inventory and paint mixing functions at customer-located mixing operation by performing the following duties
Duties and Responsibilities
Interpret customer's daily paint production schedule, and perform booth-side inventory of available paint.
Determine upcoming production shifts' mixed color needs, based on customer's daily schedule and booth-side inventory.
Interpret future paint mixing requirements, and mix required paint using automated paint mix machine, with occasional hand mixing.
Interpret individual paint formulations for proper volume and additive additions based on required amounts.
Access new formulations from formula database.
Perform viscosity checks on some mixed materials.
Understand menu-driven computer screens to access and initialize paint mixes.
Perform daily cleaning and maintenance functions on mix machine.
Refill raw ingredients into mix machine as needed.
Perform routine housekeeping in mix and lab areas.
Maintain inventories of needed supplies (rags, buckets, labels, etc) at work stations.
Respond to immediate mixed paint requirements by the customer.
Perform stocking duties of delivered materials to their proper storage location.
Respond to customer's needs via communication by customer-provided phone.
Follow customer's and supplier's site safety practices and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The paint technician must be able to lift and move 60-75 pails of paint on a repetitious basis, up to one pail every 5 minutes.
Must be computer literate
Must have basic math skills
Must be able to multi-task
Must be detail oriented
Must be customer focused, and work with both hourly and supervisory personnel
Absolutely need flexibility of schedule; daily overtime is common as is weekend overtime.
No motorized equipment for material handling; but drum dollies used and hoist operations performed
Will require respiratory and pulmonary training and certification.
Candidates cannot begin without successful completion of drug & background clearances. Candidates must also pass a pulmonary function (respirator) test prior to start.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
