Labor Relations Representative II

Job Summary:
The position will have responsibility of assisting in all areas within the realm of Labor Relations in order to promote a collaborative work environment at the local plant level. Work closely on a daily basis with management and the local union pertaining to all aspects of labor relations.
Core Responsibilities:
Administer the collective bargaining agreement
Provide training, advice, and guidance to management and support organizations on issues related to the collective bargaining agreement
Administer progressive discipline process
Oversee grievance resolution process, participating in arbitration matters, as required
Provide coaching and consultation for the development of an effective working relationship between labor and management
Ensure consistent administration and interpretation of plant rules, policies, and procedures
Provide consultation and support regarding staffing/talent selection and training development

Minimum Education Required:
Four (4) year degree in Labor Relations, Management, Business, Human Resources or related field
Minimum Years of Experience Required:
Five (5) years' experience in Labor Relations or Human Resources
Prior experience with Contract Negotiations, Grievance Resolution, including Arbitration
Other Requirements:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledgeable of current employment law
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP; SHRM-SCP is preferred
Broad generalist profile with cross-functional background or specialist background

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
