Materials Manager

Job Description:
The Materials Manager prepares the master production schedule, daily monitors the schedule; plans the inventory levels.
Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in planning materials.
Responsible for supervision of the material planning group.
Prepares guidelines for the material planners to operate under.
Assures the most effective use of CMS system.
Sets safety stock levels of inventory components and finished goods.
Determines component delivery schedules to support the master schedule.
Assists in the development of kanban quantities to assure minimum inventory with maximum customer service levels.
Prepares an attainable master schedule to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders, and to sustain the balanced, targeted finished goods level.
Actively supports all Quality, environmental, and safety systems.
Communicates with suppliers to assure timely delivery.
Reports and resolves material support concerns daily.
Prepares the daily production schedule to satisfy customer needs and inventory requirements.
Effectively supports manufacturing by minimizing schedule nervousness and assuring component availability.
Analyzes inventory to maximize turns.
Plans for the phase in and phase out of new product introductions and engineering changes to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
Manages and assesses the material requirements planning system to assure consistency; analyzes the causes for inconsistency within the process.
Coordinates material planning activity for material with long lead time as such to eliminate any potential supply interruption and minimize inventory Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering or Similar Minimum of 5 yrs.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
